New Year's is over, but Chinese New Year's is still going on. For this year, Chinese New Year's Day is on Jan. 23. The celebrations last for about 2 weeks. This year is the Year of the Dragon. In twelve years it will be the Year of the Dragon again. It goes in a cycle. I was born in the Year of the Horse.
Today I went to Chinatown and watched the lion dance. It was so loud from the beating of the drums and fire crackers that I could not hear what my mom was saying. It was really fun but loud.
